I am Julián Martínez.

I’m a documentary filmmaker and director of photography based in Los Angeles.

I’m an executive producer and the director of the forthcoming ABC/Disney feature documentary "Finding Mango: To Live and Die on Skid Row" (2026).

I've traveled the world filming for ABC Network News and other major outlets, from tracking volcanic lava flows on the Big Island of Hawai’i to camping in 40-below Arctic temperatures to board a U.S. Navy nuclear submarine. My work also includes filming in-depth interviews with high-profile celebrities.

I’m also passionate about giving back through pro bono filming for the incredible Silverlake Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles.

My favorite work is telling stories that often go overlooked, blending investigative journalism with compelling visual storytelling to bring important narratives to the forefront.
